Location: the hotel was close enough to the Xunantunich ruins, a chocolate shake which was very good and Also very close to San Ignacio. It also was on the river.

We stayed in a charming rustic hut with a comfortable family feel. The food was excellent, with local cuisine lovingly prepared. The location was beautiful, nestled beside a river with Mayan ruins nearby. We enjoyed the friendly service and the abundance of animals on the ranch.

The Wi-Fi was only available in the dining hall, not in the sleeping huts.

While the resort was indeed rustic, the lack of air conditioning in the huts could be uncomfortable during the summer months. Additionally, the hot water supply was inconsistent, with only cold water available at times.

my recent stay in san ignacio was incredible, but my overnight stay at a local resort truly surpassed all expectations. the personal attention from the owner and staff was outstanding, making me feel like part of their family. the owner went above and beyond to ensure a positive experience by organizing outings and providing delicious meals. a unique cultural experience that I would highly recommend.

We had a memorable experience at Clarissa Falls. Chena, the owner, was an exceptional hostess who provided valuable input and arranged local tours. the location, surrounded by a beautiful river and close to cultural sites, was perfect. the homemade meals were delicious and plentiful. the property offered various activities like tubing and hiking. the bungalows resembled Mayan homes, providing an authentic experience in the midst of a rainforest. We enjoyed dining outdoors while listening to the soothing sounds of nature.
